Agitating advocates here on Saturday prevented the visiting High Court Judge, Justice Shankar Narayana from entering the District Court Complex for 30 minutes shouting slogans against the delay in establishment of separate High Court for Andhra Pradesh and Andhra judicial officers giving option for posting in Telangana. They locked the main gate in the north and sat in for protest at the east gate stopping the Judge’s car outside. Justice Shankar Narayana who arrived in the car along with the newly appointed District Judge Ms. Sujana got down the vehicle and walked into the court premises amid police security.

When the advocates aired their ire on the alleged injustice to the Telangana lawyers he said the matter was not in his purview to solve. Lawyers deplored that neither the High Court nor the Centre was bothered despite they boycotting courts for the last one month. They demanded that the Andhra Judicial Officers who gave option for posting in Telangana must quit voluntarily.
