Internationally recognised seer Sudhanshu Maharaj would deliver a discourse on human values, how to lead an ethical life, self-discipline for individuals, discipline in family life, and contemporary affairs, among other topics, at the Virat Bhakti Satsang to be held at Sri Rama Garden on Armoor road here, on January 20 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Disclosing the details of the programme at a press conference here on Monday, Nizamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry founder chairman P.R. Somani said the event was the first-of-its-kind in north Telangana.
Based in New Delhi, Mr. Maharaj was famous for his sermons, which he delivers every day in the morning during his programme aired on the Sanskar and Disha channels. Thousands of people across the world are glued to the small screen for his talk on various worldly and spiritual issues. His discourses assume significance as they do not talk about epics or puranas or Bhagavad Gita even, but stick to day-to-day life, Mr. Somani said.
Bhajans by a cultural team from Delhi would precede the seer’s talk. Devotees from Nirmal, Nanded, Jagityal, Karimnagar, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy were expected to attend the satsang. Seven committees have been constituted for the event to be conducted smoothly.
Senior advocate and one of the organisers, Madanlal Gupta, said Mr. Maharaj was also known for his philanthropic activities, such as conducting eye surgeries to thousands of people free of cost at his ashram hospital. He also provides Ayurvedic medicines for various diseases, said Mr. Gupta.
Another senior advocate, Rajkumar Subedar, said the discourses would be in Hindi and everybody could undertsand it.
