2 NDRF teams deployed

The State government is committed to protect the lives and properties in case of floods due to incessant rains in various parts of Karimnagar district and is geared up to face any eventuality, Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao said.

The government had deployed two teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in Karimnagar district and has kept helicopters on standby in Hyderabad to respond to any kind of situation in the district, he told media persons here on Sunday night after holding review meeting with the irrigation officials.

The Minister urged the people not to worry about the rains and floods and said the government was ready to provide all assistance round-the-clock. He appealed to the opposition parties not to politicise the flood situation.
