Winners of contest given gold coins

Minister for Handloom and Textiles S. Gokula Indra distributed gold coins to 40 customers who have won the prizes for having purchased products of Co-Optex. Under the ‘Gold Coin Prize’ scheme, which was introduced with the objective of increasing the sale of Co-Optex products, the customer would be given a coupon for purchase of every Rs. 2,000 and he would have to answer the question printed on the coupon. Winners were selected through lots and given 4 gram gold coins as first prize to 10 persons, 2 gram gold coins to 30 winners in each region.

In other words, Co-Optex would give 1.10 kg gold to 440 winners in all 11 regions across the country.

In a function here on Thursday, Ms. Gokula Indra handed over gold coins to the winners.
