U.P. youth killed

S. Anuj Kumar Soni (25), a native of Shravasti district, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly murdered here on Wednesday in broad daylight.

According to sources, he was residing at KVK Nagar in Tuticorin, where the incident occurred.

D. Michael (35), the key accused with two other accomplices, hacked him to death while he was walking along with his friend P. Akash (15) of KVK Nagar, who suffered injuries when he attempted to prevent the attack.

He was admitted to Tuticorin Government Medical College Hospital.

Fruit juice seller

The victim along with three others was engaged in selling fruit juice at KVK Nagar here.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Soni was alleged to have facilitated the elopement of wife of the key accused with their house owner.
