Two boys drown in well

Two boys allegedly drowned in a well on Monday at Sathankulam. The victims were identified as A. Anbuselvan (8) of R.C. North Street, Sathankulam, and his neighbour A. Mani (10).

Sources said that these boys after having annadhanam food served during the festival at Puliyadi Mariamman Temple went to take bath in the well.

Their clothes were found near the well.

A search was conducted for them from 3 p.m., and the bodies were retrieved from the well in night. Based on a complaint lodged by S. Arulraj (32), father of Anbuselvan, Sathankulam police have filed a case.
