Tiruvarur records 83.70 p.c. pass

H. Murssidha Nasreen of Sri G.R.M. Girls HSS with 1,177 marks secured the district first rank in Tiruvarur district. Her marks tally is Tamil 182, English 188, Economics 200, Commerce 200, Accountancy 200, and Business Maths 197.

It was a tough time for the officials and Education Department authorities to bring the girl to the collecotrate till late afternoon. “We are convincing the family members to bring her to the Collectorate,” the officials said.

The second rank went to S. Aishwarya of the same school who got 1,175 marks. The third rank went to N. Manivel of Dharani Matric HSs in Mannargudi with a mark tally of 1,173.

Nirmala, Chief Educational Officer, said that of the total 14,004 students who appeared for the examination through 101 HSS in the district, as many as 11,722 students emerged successful, accounting for a pass percentage of 83.70 per cent.

Thirteen schools registered cent per cent pass in the district. Of them, two were government HSS in Nedumbalam village with 101 students and Girls' HSS in Tirumakottai with 82 students recorded the achievement.
