Visitors to Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve (STR) will henceforth be able to immortalise memories.
The Forest Department has opened the tiger reserve’s first souvenir shop at Hasanur.
To begin with, stickers, caps, key chains and mugs have been made available at the shop at different price ranges. More items are to be included in the coming week at the shop that will be run by Bungalowdoddi Project Tiger Eco Development Committee.
Activities
The EDC will utilise the sales proceeds for carrying out eco development activities on a priority basis, according to an official communication.
STR Field Director I.Anwardeen inaugurated the shop in the existing Eco Shop premises in the presence of Deputy Directors C.H. Padma and K. Rajkumar, DFOs of Hasanur and Sathyamangalam Divisions respectively.
