Six students injured

Six students travelling by a private town bus from Mahendrapalli were injured when the vehicle collided with another town bus, bound for Sirkali on Thursday. Police said that the incident happened at by-pass road when the second bus driver was attempting to overtake the first bus. The injured were immediately rushed to the Government Hospital at Sirkali and were allowed to go home after treatment. Based on a complaint from the driver of one of the buses, police have registered a case and arrested the driver of the other bus, K. Sankar (42).
