‘Sanction farm loans’

The monitoring and review committee meeting of the Salem District Central Cooperative Bank (SDCCB) suggested provision of fresh loans to farmers who were the beneficiaries of the loan waiver scheme announced by the State government.

The meeting, presided over by R. Elangovan, Chairman of the bank, directed the deputy registrars of cooperative societies and field managers to take steps for sanctioning farm loans to the beneficiaries of the government waiver scheme. He directed all the branches of the SDCCB and all the primary agricultural cooperative credit societies to take effective steps for achieving the monthly targets. The members of the committee Bama Bhuvaneswari, District Development Manager of NABARD; A.K. Sivamalar, MD of SDCCB; G. Gandhinathan, Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Namakkal; S. Tamil Selvan, General Manager; P. Ravikumar, Chief Revenue Officer, and K. S. Shanmugasundaram, Chief Manager, State Apex Cooperative Bank, took part.
