Remembering Kalam

The students of the Bharathiyar Arts and Science College for Women, Deviyakurichi near Attur, paid tributes to late A. P. J. Abdul Kalam by offering special prayers with candles.

More than 3,500 students and teachers in college uniforms participated in the special prayers.

Earlier, led by E. Elayappan, chairman of Bharathiyar Educational Institutions, A. K. Ramasamy, its secretary, the students garlanded the giant portrait of late Kalam and paid silent tribute to him. They recalled the yeoman service rendered by Kalam for the overall development of the country.
