Taking part in a meeting of Vivasayigal Koottiyakkam chaired by its coordinator P.K. Deivasigamani here, Dr. Anbumani urged the farmers’ associations affiliated to the organisation to support PMK in the Assembly elections, with a promise of writing-off of agricultural loans extended by cooperative and nationalised banks.

PMK leader Ramadoss would take part in the Loan Waiver Convention to be organised by the Federation, he said.

The PMK, if voted to power, would allocate Rs. 50,000 crore for irrigational improvements, he said.

On the GAIL pipeline issue, Mr. Anbumani said the State Government had mishandled the situation.
