The young voters, who had suffered a lot from the corrupt administration of AIADMK and DMK, should liberate Tamil Nadu by overwhelmingly supporting the candidates of DMDK-PWF-TMC, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Vaiko has appealed.

“Young voters should persuade their parents, siblings and friends to back our candidates though the DMK and the AIADMK are luring the voters with the wealth they have amassed through corruption all these years,” he said, while wrapping up his electioneering at Palayamkottai on Saturday.

He said the DMDK-PWF-TMC alliance would put an end to corruption and liquor in Tamil Nadu if it was voted to power. If voters missed the chance of supporting a noble alliance on May 16, it would never happen again.

“The young voters should ignore allurements of all sorts and support us in a big way to liberate the State from corruption and liquor,” Mr. Vaiko appealed.

When the MDMK general secretary arrived at the venue at 5 p.m. after campaigning at Tirunelveli Junction and the Muslim-dominant Melapalayam, it began rain heavily even as gusty wind lashed the entre venue.

“ Our alliance will disprove all poll predictions and win over 150 seats,” Mr. Vaiko said, even as lightning and thunder were striking at irregular intervals. And the crowd, covering their heads with plastic chairs, enjoyed his last-minute electioneering.
