‘Keep anganwadi clean’

August 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 06:08 pm IST - SALEM:

All the workers in the 2,696 anganwadi centres have been asked to keep the centres clean.

Addressing a training programme for workers of these centres, District Collector V. Sampath said that maintaining cleanliness was very important, and workers should give priority to it.

He said that workers should wash their hands using soap before beginning their work, trim their nails, and wear neat cloths.

The food and supplements should be placed on racks so that water does not mix with it. He asked workers to take samples of the prepared food everyday and maintain proper records in the register. Children should be handed over to their parents or their guardians, he added.

Water should be boiled before giving to children.
