HPCL aids construction of classrooms

The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited aided construction of four additional classrooms at a cost of Rs. 22 lakh for the benefit of students of the High School, Umayalpuram, near here under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

The classrooms constructed on the second floor of the school buildings were declared open on Saturday by HPCL Director (Finance) J. Ramaswamy and Director (Human Resources) Pushp Kumar Joshi.

More than 650 students of the school would benefit from the gesture.

The HPCL also felicitated school toppers in the SSLC exams on the occasion. The dignitaries along with the students planted more than 50 saplings to commemorate the events.
