Four held for murdering professor

Four persons including a transgender have been arrested in the assistant professor Krishnaveni murder case.

Krishnaveni, an assistant professor of Botony, serving in Government Arts College, Tiruvannamalai, was found murdered in her house in Navakkarai on April 26. Police found that Jeevanandam (55), a transgender living near slain professor’s house had a petty quarrel some time ago. He wanted to take revenge and worked out a plan. His brother Kathiravan (40) and two minor sons of another brother executed the plan and murdered Krishnaveni. The four were arrested and remanded.
