Detained under Goondas Act

The City Police Commissioner Sumit Sharan ordered the detention of Sikandar Basha of Chinna Tirupathi, a notorious anti-social element under the Goondas Act.

He is being detained under the Goondas Act for the third time.

Sikandar Basha on November 20 attacked Manikandan of the same area with deadly weapons.

He also threatened the people who came to the rescue of Manikandan.

As Sikandar Basha continued to indulge in anti-social activities, Mr. Sharan ordered his detention under Goondas Act, a city police press release issued here on Sunday said.
