Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Y.S. Chowdary has justified the construction of check dams across the Palar by Andhra Pradesh government saying that it was as per rules.
He was here to release the Technology Roadmap on Manufacturing (Technology Vision 2035) at PSG College of Technology on Saturday.
Addressing reporters, Mr. Chowdary said Andhra Pradesh had followed the rules of the river management board — a system which all State governments across the country followed.
To a question on the Kashmir issue, he said that the Central government would soon find a solution to it and a step towards finding the solution was convening an all-party meeting.
