The Employees Provident Fund Organisation has introduced simplified UAN (Universal Account Number) based claim forms and the employees could take advantage of the same, said C. Amudha, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner.

She was addressing the members of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Salem in the city on Tuesday. She explained the recent changes made in the PF law and online facilities etc.

The EPFO has notified that the employees whose details like Aadhaar number and bank account number have been seeded in their Universal Account Number and whose UAN has been activated may submit their PF withdrawal claims in the respective forms directly to the regional EPF Office even without attestation of their respective employers.

Till recently, it was mandatory to get the EPF claim forms attested and signed by the concerned employers.

She also explained the employees’ provident fund scheme and employees’ pension scheme and the types of options available for the pensioners.

She said that a mobile app is also available in Android, downloading which will help EPF members in accessing the EPFO websites.

The EPF members can approach EPFO for any query or suggestion or grievance settlement through Facebook and Twitter:
