The students of Kailash Women’s College underwent a specialised training in riding two-wheelers as part of the road safety awareness programme at the college premises on Friday. The event was brought up by the Rotaract Club of the College.

The students were given important tips at the driving simulation session on safe riding of two-wheelers, proper tying of dupatta, wearing helmets, proper maintenance of vehicles, looking out for obstacles on the roads, maintaining a safe distance from vehicles, etc.

K. Kailasam, chairman, Sakthi Kailash Educational Institutions, presided over the session. I. Ponnselvam, Territory Manager, TVS Company, spoke on the safe riding on busy roads. Two-wheeler riders should strictly follow rules and lend a helping hand to the authorities in checking road accidents, he said.
