The four women candidates are: Maragatham Kumaravel (Kancheepuram); R Vanaroja (Tiruvannamalai); V. Sathyabhama (Tirupur) and Vasanthi Murugesan (Tenkasi). Ms Vasanthi is the wife of former AIADMK MP, Murugesan, elected from Tenkasi twice.
