Students present educational projects

CHENNAI: Students of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School, T.Nagar participated in various events as part of the three-day educational project held here recently.

While kindergarten and primary students till class three presented ‘ Gudiya Pradarshini’ , a display of dolls from across the India and from different countries such as Japan and Germany, students of classes four to eight presented a project on ‘Swachh Bharath’. Students also participated in a sound and light show on ‘Good, bad and ugly’ as part of their project.

During the inauguration of the project, Junichi Fukao, researcher/adviser, cultural affairs and information, Consulate General of Japan, Chennai, said the project showed the children’s deep understanding of subjects and it will contribute to their life.

Students of classes four to eight had made models on ‘Swachh Bharath’ on various themes such as environmental cleanliness, IT initiatives to implement cleanliness and 5S- the Japanese housekeeping method at workplace.

According to Durga Chandrasekar, Vice Principal, PSBB, T.Nagar, students learn to appreciate the integration between different subjects through such project and develop life skills. PSBB Group of Schools dean and director Mrs. Y.G.P and Kakarla Usha, Managing Director, Tamilnadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Ltd. also participated.
