Race for smart cities

Union Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjeet Singh on Friday said efforts were on to get Gurgaon included into the list of Smart Cities.

Mr. Singh was here to inaugurate a police station in Sector 51. Replying to a question, he said Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for including Gurgaon as the third city from Haryana into the list of smart cities.

He added that he too was making efforts to ensure the same.

To a question about the One Rank, One Pension policy, the Union Minister said the BJP government at the Center was committed to implementing the scheme as promised.
