MULTA militant nabbed

A Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam (MULTA) militant and arms supplier was apprehended on Tuesday by a joint BSF and police team in Assam’s Dhubri district along Boxirhat in Bengal’s Cooch Behar, BSF officers said.

Based on specific information provided by a BSF intelligence team, a joint operation with the police from Chagolia police station was carried out this evening, which nabbed the active MULTA cadre and arms supplier to Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO), ULFA and MULTA, the officers said. One pistol, three live ammunition and a magazine were recovered from the extremist identified as Izaaul of Boxirhat. - PTI
