Kishor Dave, a Gujarati journalist working for a local daily in Junagadh, was murdered late on Monday night.

Mr. Dave (53) was stabbed to death in his office in Junagadh.

According to the police, Mr. Dave was stabbed several times with a knife and died on the spot.

“He was stabbed six or seven times with a knife. From the injury marks, it appears that personal enmity could be a reason behind the murder but our probe is underway,” said a police official from Junagadh.

Meanwhile, his family members have told the police that relatives of one former BJP Minister had threatened him and he was tense since then.

As per the details, Mr. Dave had reported on a case of alleged sexual harassment by a local politician's son, who is a leading doctor in the city, following which a police case was also filed against the journalist under cyber crime laws and he was subsequently granted bail.
