Eight districts in Haryana, including Panipat, would be declared kerosene-free to mark the celebrations of Haryana’s Golden Jubilee Year on November 1, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said.
“The entire State would be made kerosene-free in the second phase of this ambitious programme and grants would be given to poor families for taking gas connections, Mr. Khattar said.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting of officers of district administration in Panipat late last evening, a Haryana government release quoting him said here on Thursday.
Mr. Khattar claimed that the economic condition of the State is better in comparison to the neighbouring States. -PTI
