Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Minister for Transport and Forests, has rebutted the allegations raised against him by solar scam accused Saritha S. Nair that he was in possession of a compact disc (CD) and photographs showing Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s son together with a woman accused in the scam. He was speaking to reporters here on Friday.

He said the allegations were part of a drama. “This story is going to unfold in several episodes because of the ensuing elections,” he said. “First, they said it was a pen drive, now a CD and photographs,” he added.

He said such allegations should not be taken seriously.

He also denied the allegations that he used the materials to threaten the Chief Minister.

“I was the Home Minister then. Are they saying that I used the materials to get a lower position in the Cabinet?” he quipped.

When asked about the silence of Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala in the issue, Mr. Radhakrishnan said he did not want to comment on the internal affairs of the party.
