: V.P. Seydalavi and K.T. Haidarali, manager and PTA president respectively of Munniyoor Higher Secondary School in Malappuram, surrendered at the District Crime Branch Police Office here on Saturday after the investigating agency found that they were responsible for the suicide by school teacher K.K. Aneesh Kumar at a lodge in Malampuzha here in September last.

The Crime Branch had arrested school headmistress Sudha P. Nair on Friday in connection with the case.

Aneesh Kumar had been expelled from the school on charges of misbehaviour. However, the investigators found that the charge was fabricated and the school management was pursuing a vendetta against him.

Investigators said he ended his life unable to withstand the trauma.

Both Haidarali and Seydalavi surrendered to the police after obtaining anticipatory bail from the High Court.

They were absconding ever since the Crime Branch named them accused in the case.

As per the anticipatory bail conditions, both were released after registering their arrest. Four accused in the case are still at large.
