No-tobacco Day in Kollam

The Kollam branch of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) is taking forward the campaign against tobacco use by organising various programmes to observe the World No Tobacco Day on May 31. The programme will commence with a road show from the Meditrina Hospital which will be flagged off by the Eravipuram MLA-elect M. Nosuhad.

IDA branch president B. Sundareshan said that a programme has also been organised at the RP Mall in the city from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. which will be inaugurated by the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Kollam), V.R. Anil Kumar. The programmes comprise taking pledge against use of tobacco products, distribution of brochures against tobacco use and short films on the subject.
