‘No vested interests in delimitation’

: A high-level meeting of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) held at Panakkad, near here, on Monday called upon the government to deal with the delimitation issue before the local body elections with more seriousness.

The IUML does not have any vested interests in the matter. It has only voiced the people’s concerns. And the party stands with the sentiment of the people, said Minister for Industries P.K. Kunhalikutty after the meeting. He rejected the allegations that the IUML had kept away from the talks on the Vizhinjam project.

IUML State president Panakkad Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal presided.
