Guard against ageing of mind, poet tells senior citizens

Poet Manambur Rajanbabu called upon senior citizens to fortify their mind with good deeds and thinking to overcome the onslaught of time and ageing.

Inaugurating a media seminar conducted by the Senior Citizens Friends Welfare Association (SCFWA) here on Tuesday, Mr. Rajanbabu said that senior citizens should guard their minds against ageing.

Anil Kurudath, writer and bureau chief of the Malayala Manorama , spoke on senior citizens and social justice. Sujata Varma, lawyer, spoke on caring the senior citizens. Recalling several cases she handled of late, Ms. Varma called upon senior citizens to retain self-reliance as far as possible.

K.J. Chellappan, district president of the SCFWA, moderated the seminar. M.S. Sivaraman welcomed the gathering. P. Sivasankaran proposed a vote of thanks.
