Couple found dead at Salem residence

A homemaker from Uduma and her husband were found dead at their residence in Salem on Thursday.

Ramani, 44, hailing from Mangad, near Uduma, and her husband Gunashekharan, 53, a native of Namakkal, had injuries on their head, reports reaching here said.

The Tamil Nadu police recovered an iron rod suspected to have been used to kill the couple from their residence.

After carrying out post-mortem examination, the body of Gunashekharan was cremated at Namakkal.

Ramani’s relatives are planning to bring her body to Kerala.

The couple married some five years ago and had been residing in Salem since then.
