PSC staff two-day stir from today

The Kerala PSC Employees Union (KPSCEU) will organise a two-day strike in front of the Secretariat on January 19 and 20 to press for its charter of demands. Association general secretary V.B. Manu Kumar and president S. Jayakumar said in a release here on Monday that the union has demanded the government to sanction sufficient posts in accordance with the increase in workload, end parallel recruitment steps, lift the ban on recruitment and implement the pay panel recommendations, among others. CPI(M) State secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate the agitation. T.M. Thomas Isaac, MLA, will inaugurate the valedictory meeting at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
