The 28th Professional Students Global Conference organised by Mujahid Students Movement (MSM) has called for a collective of students rising above factionalism to ensure the basic rights and secular credentials upheld by the country’s Constitution.

A release issued by the organisers here said that the intolerance spreading in the country would lower the country’s prestige globally. It is painful to see that the values created by freedom fighters and makers of the Constitution are being destroyed by such forces, it said.

The conference also called more medical research in Kerala considering the increase in health problems in the State.

More research initiatives have to be made to scientifically assess the reasons behind the various new diseases affecting the people. Discussions should also be held on whether the self-financing medical colleges in the State were sticking to various quality parameters.
