The teachers association of Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Science (VIMS) here has threatened to stage a dharna on May 24 in protest against the delay in disbursing salaries, pending for two months.
Members of the association, after holding a meeting, met VIMS Director Srinivas and urged him to release their salaries.
They also drew his attention to the fact that time-bound scale and promotions were not being given to eligible doctors.
They also said that the inordinate delay in disbursement of salaries, and giving promotions, will severely hamper the working atmosphere in the institution.
