K.S. Rajanna, the State Commissioner for the Disabled, on Friday instructed Sarvamangala Shankar, the Vice-Chancellor of KSGH Music and Performing Arts University here, to erect a ramp and build an exclusive toilet for disabled persons at the university premises forthwith.

He asked her to display a checklist of facilities provided by the government for disabled persons at the university.

Mr. Rajanna was on a visit to the university to conduct an inquiry into the detaining of a disabled girl in the first semester of her BA course in Carnatic Music.

He also asked the vice-chancellor to take up steps to have a disabled person in the university’s Academic Council and Syndicate.
