Valmiki conference on Sunday

Minister for Small Scale Industries Satish Jarkiholi would inaugurate the first conference of Yadgir District Valmiki Naik Noukarara Sangha at the Agriculture College campus in Bheemarayanagudi in Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district on Sunday.

Talking to presspersons in Yadgir on Wednesday, Yamanappa Tanakedar, president of the sangha, said that various problems faced by the Valmiki community would be discussed during the conference.

He said that many people, those who were not eligible to get the Scheduled Tribe caste certificates, had obtained the certificates by producing false documents to join government services.

In the sammelan, a demand would be made to the State government to investigate these cases and initiate action against them.

Prominent among others who would be participating in the sammelan include Raja Venkatappa Naik, Sri Prasannaand Swami of Valmiki Guru Peeta and MPs Sriramulu and B.V. Nai. Rangaraj Wanadurga, Registrar of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, would deliver the special speech on the subject of ‘Present Problems of the Community and Solutions’.
