Two persons were killed when a car and motorcycle collided near Bosegowdana Doddi, on Kollegal-Malavalli main road, on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Mahadevappa (55) of Mallikyathana Halli, near Shivanasamudra, and Harish (45), a photographer. According to police sources, the duo was travelling on the two-wheeler.
The car was heading towards Tumakuru from Chamarajanagar.
Both the vehicles were gutted after the motorcycle’s petrol tank caught fire on impact. The occupants of the car managed to get out in time and escaped with minor injuries.
