Transfer issue a closed chapter: Jarkiholi

February 03, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - RAICHUR:

Minister for Small-Scale Industries Satish L. Jarkiholi has said that the transfer of police official Anupama Shenoy is a closed chapter now as she has been reinstated as the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kudligi sub-division.

Talking to presspersons here on Tuesday, he criticised the BJP for seeking the resignation of Minister of State for Labour P.T. Parameshwar Naik, at whose behest the officer was said to have been transferred.

Mr. Jarkiholi said that the Congress was focussing on winning the byelections to Hebbal, Deodurg and Bidar Assembly constituencies.

To a question, he said that Ministers H.C. Mahadevappa, Sharanaprakash Patil M.B. Patil, and Mr Naik, were campaigning in the Deodurg constituency and the response from the voters was positive towards party candidate Rajshekhar Naik.
