TAPMI to organise two-day event on banking, capital market

T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) will organise a two-day event titled “CobCam: Confluence of Banking and Capital Markets” here on September 5 and 6.

A release by the institute on Wednesday said the event, being organised by students pursuing postgraduate diplomas in Management (PGDM) in Banking and Financial Services (BKFS) course, will include three panel discussions, along with guest lectures, and one-on-one interaction.

Panel discussions

The panel discussion will be on topics such as financial inclusion, corporate governance and India in the face of global meltdown and challenges and the way ahead.

The first panel discussion will focus on the banking industry. The second discussion will be on the capital markets and the third on global financial markets.

The event aims at increasing the interaction and bonding among industry professionals and students.

Senior executives from the banking and financial services industry will also be participating in the event.

The inaugural function of the two-day event would be held at the Institute’s seminar hall at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday, the release added.
