Students, teachers told to read books

Education Minister Kimmane Ratnakar has exhorted students and teachers to enrich their knowledge by inculcating the habit of reading good books.

Speaking after inaugurating the silver jubilee celebrations of Sandur Girls Residential School here on Saturday, Mr. Ratnakar said that teachers should have better information about the subjects they teach and the students should also start reading books that would influence them to shape up their future.

A souvenir was released on the occasion to mark the silver jubilee celebrations and prizes were distributed to the meritorious students and sports persons.
