Sonia may not be in favour of a Dalit CM: Yeddyurappa

“It seems as if Sonia Gandhi, president of All India Congress Committee, is not in favour of a Dalit Chief Minister for Karnataka,” remarked B.S. Yeddyurappa, BJP state president.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Mr. Yeddyurappa, responding to a question on the widespread demand for a Dalit Chief Minister, said: “If she wishes, she can appoint a Dalit Chief Minister in 24 hours. But that is not happening. This could only mean that she may not be favouring the idea.”
