Solo theatre fest begins on Oct. 8 in Shivamogga

Hongirana Rangatanda, a city-based theatre troupe, has organised a solo theatre fest at Kuvempu Rangamandir here from October 8 to 11.

In a press release, Saswehalli Satish, president of Hongirana troupe, has said that a solo-drama would be staged on each day. The schedule of the event is as follows: Karna, a drama enacted by K.N. Surendra (October 8); Mughal samrajyada gulabi , a drama by Ajay Gowda Neenasam (October 9); Kuvempu Ramayana , by Chandrashekhar Shastri (October 10) and Veera Uttarakumara , by Chandrashekhar Hiregonigere (October 11). The show will commence on all the four days at 6.30 p.m. The Hongirana troupe has also instituted prizes for the audience, who write the best reviews on all four dramas.
