MASHAV, a Hebrew acronym for the Agency for International Development and Cooperation of the Government of Israel, has provided a grant of US$ 10,000 to “Parivartana”, a Shiralakoppa-based non-governmental organisation working for integrated rural development in Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada and Haveri districts.Earlier, MASHAV had organised a training programme for the representatives of 25 organisations from across the world, including Parivartana, on grassroots development initiatives at Haifa in Israel in January. D. Shankarappa, chief functionary of Parivartana, attended the training programme and gave a presentation there on the functioning of his organisation. After successful completion of the training, MASHAV provided a financial grant to Parivartana, Mr. Shankarappa said in a press release here.
