Opposition to Vedamurthy’s posting as Additional SP

September 04, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 28, 2016 03:18 pm IST - Hassan:

Taking exception to the recent transfer of Hassan Lokayukta Superintendent of Police C.B. Vedamurthy as Additional Superintendent of Police here, Janata Dal (Secular) leader H.D. Revanna said on Thursday, he would write to the Chief Minister and Secretary of the Home Department, questioning the posting. Speaking to presspersons here, Mr. Revanna alleged that Mr. Vedamurthy was collecting bribes from officials to avoid raids. “Many officials have openly said about corruption in Lokayukta office. The Superintendent of Police could not stop corruption in his own office. Imagine the fate of the district, if he is appointed as Additional Superintendent of Police of Hassan,” he wondered.

Mr. Revanna wanted to know if any politician wanted him transferred as Additional SP.
