Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Davangere district in Karnatka on Sunday to inaugurate the Ujwal scheme of the Union government.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit president T.G. Narendranath said on Wednesday that a rally will also be held on the occasion, to highlight the achievements of the Union government, including Jan Dhan, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padao and other schemes.

"I will never let the country walk on the wrong path, I assure you of that," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, addressing the gathering at Davangere in Karntaka on Sunday.
