A man was killed and another injured when a truck collided with a motorcycle near Goyindur village coming under the Karkala Town Police Station limits near here on Tuesday.
According to the Karkala Town Police, Vineet (25) was riding the motorcycle from Bailoor to Goyindur with his friend Anand Devadiga on the pillion, when the truck collided with the motorcycle. As a result of the collision, both fell off the motorcycle.
A severely injured Vineet died on the spot, while Devadiga, who was injured, was admitted to a private nursing home in Bailoor.
Vineet used to work as a laboratory technician.
A case has been registered. Investigation is on, the police said.
