In wake of rumours doing the rounds in political circles that he would be dropped from the Cabinet, Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education Kimmane Ratnakar has posted a message on his Facebook profile saying that he would not indulge in any kind of lobbying to save his post.

In the post, Mr. Ratnakar has said he was aware of the ephemeral nature of political positions and that he would like to remain in the hearts of the people. Mr. Ratnakar has said that he was satisfied that he had discharged his work in an efficient and prompt manner as a Minister.

Expressing his loyalty to the Congress in the post, Mr. Ratnakar has said that he would shoulder whatever responsibility the party assigns to him in future. The message was posted late Friday night. The post has been liked and shared by many of his friends on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ratnakar, who is also the district in-charge minister, was in his native Tirthahalli on Saturday.

He has sent the official vehicle and the police personnel deputed for his security back to Shivamogga city.

According to sources, on the direction of Mr. Ratnakar, the officials have also made arrangements to shift the memorandums submitted by the people to him on their grievances and the records related to implementation of development works in Tirthahalli constituency that were kept at the office of district incharge minister in Shivamogga to his office in Tirthahalli.
