A wounded leopard spotted near Bandikoppalu near Halebidu in Belur taluk died after it was rescued by forest officials on Tuesday. It is said to be about two years old.
Residents of Bandikoplu spotted the animal on Tuesday morning and informed the Forest Department officers. The forest officials reached the spot and found that the animal was suffering from injuries. They rescued it; however it succumbed to injuries later.
