KMC to hold cardiac check-up camp for municipal workers

The Departments of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Technology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), will hold a free cardiac consultation and cardiac check-up camp for municipality workers on the occasion of World Heart Day on Sunday.

Acccording to a press release issued by the Manipal University here on Friday, Tom Devasia, Head, Department Cardiology said that the camp would be extended for a week to create awareness and to propagate the “I love my heart” concept.

He said that the senior citizens could avail themselves of a discounted rate in the check-up and treatment. “Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and regular check-up are very important,” he said.

Poornima Baliga, Dean, Kasturba Medical College, will inaugurate the camp at the Dr. T.M.A. Pai Hall here, the release added.
